Effective from: 7 October 2026

Sircl is a product of Kontextual Collective Private Limited, a company incorporated in India. This policy explains what personal information we handle, why, and what you can do about it.

It speaks to three groups of people, and you can go straight to the part that is about you:

  • You use Sircl. Sections 1 and 4 onward.
  • You visited our website. Sections 2 and 13.
  • You do not use Sircl, but you may appear in a result someone else ran. Section 3. It includes how to see what we hold about you and how to be removed.

1. If you use Sircl

What we collect

  • Your account. Your name, email address and profile picture, and anything else you allow the service you sign in with to share with us (see section 6).
  • Your context. What you tell Sircl about yourself and your work, and what Sircl gathers to save you typing, from the services you connect and from public sources. You can view and correct most of it in the app. For anything you cannot change yourself, write to us and we will correct or delete it.
  • What you put in. What you ask for, your criteria, and any lists, documents, resumes or notes you upload, paste in or bring in from a service you connect.
  • What Sircl produces for you. Your results, such as assessments, maps, drafts and summaries.
  • Plan and usage. Which plan you are on, the usage you have bought and spent, and a record of your payments. Payments are taken by our payment partners. We never see or store your full card details.
  • Technical and usage information. Your IP address, browser and device type, and how you use the app. We need this to keep the service running and secure, and to improve it (see section 13).
  • Messages. Anything you send us by email or through a form.

Why we use it, and on what basis

WhyBasis
To provide Sircl to youOur contract with you
To take payment, keep accounts and meet tax and legal dutiesOur contract with you, and legal obligation
To keep Sircl secure, prevent misuse and fix faultsOur legitimate interest in running a safe, working service
To tell you about changes to Sircl, your plan or these policiesOur contract with you
To improve Sircl, by looking at how it is used and where it failsOur legitimate interest in making the product better

We do not sell your account information, and we do not use it for advertising.

2. If you visit our website

When you visit sircl.ai, we and the analytics tools we use receive basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you viewed. If you write to us through a contact form, we keep what you send so we can reply.

Some pages on our website include content from other services, such as an embedded music player. When you play that content, the service that provides it receives technical information such as your IP address and may set its own cookies. Its own privacy policy applies to what it does with that information.

3. If you appear in a result

Sircl helps its customers find and assess companies and the people who work at them, for purposes such as hiring, selling and partnership. If you have a professional presence, you may appear in a result even though you have never used Sircl. This section is for you.

What we may hold about you. Professional information, such as your name, job title, employer, work history, education, skills, public professional profile and business contact details. We may also hold what a customer’s run concluded about how well your professional background fits what that customer was looking for.

Where it comes from. From business data supplied by third-party data providers and from public sources, such as public company pages. If a customer uploaded information about you, such as a resume you sent them, see section 4.

Why we use it, and on what basis. We use it to show a customer who fits what they asked for, and why. Our basis is legitimate interest: ours in providing this service, and our customers’ in finding the right people to speak to. We weigh that against your interests, and we limit what we do accordingly:

  • We use professional information only. We do not seek out information about your health, religion, ethnicity, sexual life, political opinions or other sensitive matters, and our terms forbid customers from using Sircl to select or exclude people on such grounds.
  • Sircl does not make decisions about you. It gives a customer a reasoned reading. A person at the customer decides what to do next.
  • Sircl does not contact you. It may draft a message for a customer. Only the customer can send it, from their own account.
  • We do not publish what we hold, and we do not sell or hand over lists of people or contact details. Some laws, such as California’s, may treat making professional information available to our paying customers within Sircl as a “sale” of personal information. Section 12 explains how to opt out.

Who sees it. The customer whose run you appeared in, and the service providers described in section 7.

What you can do. Write to support@sircl.ai and tell us who you are. You can ask us:

  • whether we hold information about you, and for a copy of it
  • to correct it
  • to delete it and to stop including you in results

We will respond within 30 days and we will not charge you. When you ask to be removed, we delete what we hold and keep only the minimum needed to make sure you do not appear again. We cannot recall a copy of a result that a customer has already saved or taken out of Sircl. We may need to check your identity first, and we will only use what you send us for that purpose.

4. Information customers upload about other people

Customers can bring their own material about other people into Sircl, for example a set of resumes they have received. We handle that material on the customer’s behalf and on their instructions. The customer decides why and how it is used and is responsible for it, including for telling the people concerned. If you want to know what a customer has done with your information, the customer is the right place to ask. If you write to us instead, we will pass your request to them where we can identify them.

Applicants. When a customer uses Sircl to review people who have applied to them, Sircl reads only what the customer or the applicant provided, together with the customer’s brief. We do not search for or add information about applicants from any other source. Before Sircl assesses an applicant, it removes details such as name, age, photos and zip code or postcode. Sircl organises applicants against the customer’s brief and gives its reasons. It does not reject anyone or make hiring decisions. A person at the customer reviews the results and decides.

5. How we use artificial intelligence

Sircl uses artificial intelligence models from third-party providers to read information and write results. To do that, we send those providers the relevant content, which can include personal information.

We do not use personal information, whether yours or that of people who appear in results, to train artificial intelligence models. We use model providers through their commercial services, on terms that do not allow them to train their models on what we send.

6. Signing in and connecting other services

You can sign in to Sircl with a third-party account, and you may be able to connect other services to it. When you do, that service shows you what information Sircl is asking for, and you decide whether to allow it. You can withdraw that access at any time, in the service’s own settings or by writing to us.

We use information from these services only to provide Sircl to you, as this policy describes.

Where the service is Google: Sircl’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

7. Who we share information with

We share personal information only as follows:

  • Service providers that help us run Sircl, such as hosting, artificial intelligence, data, payment, analytics and email providers. They may use it only to provide their service to us.
  • Your organisation. If you use Sircl inside an organisation’s workspace, its owners and administrators can see content created in that workspace.
  • Customers. A customer sees the results of their own runs, which can include professional information about the people in them.
  • Authorities and others, as section 8 describes.
  • A successor. If our business is merged, acquired or sold, information may pass to the new owner.

We do not sell personal information to advertisers or data brokers, and we do not share it for advertising.

8. Requests from governments and authorities

We may disclose personal information to a court, a regulator, a law enforcement agency or another public authority where the law requires us to. We may also disclose it where we believe in good faith that this is necessary to protect someone’s rights, safety or property, or to investigate fraud or misuse of Sircl.

We look at each request before we act on it and give no more than is required. Where we are allowed to and it is practical, we tell the account holder concerned.

9. Where information is kept

We and our service providers store and process information in more than one country, and those countries may change over time. Our team works from India.

This means your information is likely to be handled outside the country you live in. Where the law requires a safeguard for that, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses, we use one.

10. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy:

Your account. For as long as your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and its contents at any time by writing to support@sircl.ai.

After your account closes. You have 30 days to ask for a copy of your content and results. On day 31 we delete your account and its contents from our live systems.

Accounts with no paid plan. If your account has had no active paid plan for 3 months, we will email you. If you do not start a plan within 30 days of that email, we will delete your account and its contents.

People who appear in results. Information about a person in a result is deleted when that result, or the customer account that ran it, is deleted, or when we withdraw the result after giving notice. A person can also ask to be removed at any time (see section 3).

Security logs. 1 year.

Payment, billing and tax records. 8 years, as Indian company and tax law requires.

Backups. Deleted information can remain in our backups for up to 90 days before it is overwritten.

Correcting or deleting information does not change results that Sircl has already generated from it.

11. Security

We protect information with measures suited to its sensitivity. Connections to Sircl are encrypted, access to our production systems is limited to named members of our team, and we have a written procedure for responding to incidents. No system is perfectly secure. If there is a breach that affects you, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

12. Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy
  • correct it
  • delete it
  • stop or limit how we use it, including by objecting to a use that rests on our legitimate interest
  • give you your information in a form you can take elsewhere, where that applies

Write to support@sircl.ai. We will respond within 30 days. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have these rights under data protection law there, and you can also complain to your local data protection authority.

If you are in India, you also have the right to nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to, and the right to raise a grievance with us using the details in section 16. If you are not satisfied with the response you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

If you are in California, you have the right to know, correct and delete the personal information we hold about you, to ask us to stop including you in results, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information. To opt out, use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link on our website or write to support@sircl.ai. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as an opt-out request. We will not treat you differently for using these rights. The categories of personal information we make available to customers are identifiers, such as name and business contact details, and professional or employment-related information, as section 3 describes.

13. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, to remember your settings, to understand how Sircl and our website are used, and to find and fix faults. Some of these are set by the analytics and error-monitoring tools we use, which receive information about your device and how you use Sircl.

Where the law requires your consent for any of these, we ask for it first. You can also control cookies through your browser settings.

14. Children

Sircl is for people at work. It is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information about children. If you believe we hold information about a child, write to support@sircl.ai and we will delete it.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change is significant we will tell account holders by email or in the app before it takes effect.
